We currently have an opportunity for Automation Engineer, you will be working with introduction of new equipment and improvement of existing equipment within wind turbine, blade manufacturing. �
You will be supporting the factory in everyday production and ensuring standardized production across the factory through equipment, documentation, and support.
As an Automation Engineer you will be responsible to interrogate equipment issues, in electrical equipment, drive technologies and PLCs within the production environment due to the large increase in PLC driven equipment.
This a varied role where every day will be different, collaborating with our global teams, based in Denmark, to improve and implement processes and equipment related to blade manufacturing.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
Your focus areas will be to develop the right solutions for process-based equipment in blade manufacturing.
Create and review specifications for new equipment
Factory/Site acceptance and commissioning/implementation of new equipment
Upgrading existing equipment to ensure safe and optimal performance
Interrogate equipment issues, in electrical equipment, drive technologies, HMI?s and PLCs in an industrial environment
Programming & Commissioning of Control Systems / PLCs
Consulting with suppliers on repair and amending PLC related issues
Collaborating with global functions, suppliers, and contractors
Collaborating with other internal departments e.g. Operations, maintenance, Procurement and EHS departments
Support in fault finding and fault prevention
Anticipate issues with implementation and provide timely feedback and information to employees as appropriate
Create necessary reports to communicate to peers and management
Able to develop people and work as part of a team
Experience in structure of managing PLC Back ups
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for?
Focus on health and safety is essential
Ideally, Degree qualified in Automation/Electrical engineering or HNC with significant experience
Advanced Knowledge of Siemens PLC?s and automation systems
Good working knowledge Networking and BUS systems. Experience and knowledge of complex IT systems. Ethernet/IP based device communication
Experience directly related in designing and improving equipment in a manufacturing environment
You need to have an experience in working in production environments
Strong knowledge in MS Office Suite, including Excel, and PowerPoint
PLC/Drive experience essential
Experience and strong in change control
Working with TIA Portal to maintain equipment�
Good knowledge of Functional Safety compliance
An understanding or experience of Lean Manufacturing processes
Experience of creating work instructions, risk assessments and technical documentation
Good team player with excellent communication skills
